What Must I Do?
Please look up these passages in your Bible to learn what God would have you do to be saved from your past sins. The conversions in the New Testament do not have every single step outlined in every instance, but when we take all of the instances in their entirity we can clearly deduce what God expects us to do to become a Christian.
1. Hear, Learn and Understand The Gospel. - Rom. 10:17; John 6:45; Acts 8:30-35
2. Believe In Jesus As The Christ.- John 6:29; 8:24; Rom. 10:10-11
3. Repent Of All Sins. - Luke 13:3-5; Acts 3:19; 17:30
4. Confess Christ.- Matt. 10:32-33; Rom. 10:9-10
5. Be Baptized.- Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; 22:16; 1 Pet. 3:21
To remain in a saved condition, Christians must:
6. Grow in the knowledge of the Lord and His Word.- 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 5:12-6:2; 2 Peter 3:17-18
7. Diligently serve the Lord.- 1 Corinthians 15:58; Hebrews 4:11-13, 2 Peter 3:14; 1 John 5:1-5
8. Teach others the Gospel.- Acts 8:4; 1 Timothy 4:16; 2 Timothy 4:2; 1 Peter 3:15
9. Repent and pray for forgiveness when you sin. - Acts 8:14-24; 1 John 1:8-10
EXAMPLES OF NEW TESTAMENT CONVERSION
